The steps to get started:
Complete our onboarding process and schedule your first appointment: Click "Schedule your virtual appointment" to begin our onboarding process. Setting up your secure account requires an email address. Our guided screening will help us see if our program is a good fit for your need; ask questions that help us get to know your child or teen; understand your family's goals for our program; and create a clinical plan that is just right for your family. This process will take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete. Once finished, you’ll be invited to schedule your first appointment.
Attend your initial appointment: During this virtual appointment, you’ll meet with a licensed pediatric clinician for a personalized session to discuss your family’s goals and how Clarity Pediatrics may fit into your child or teen’s ADHD treatment plan. This initial appointment will be one of the following:
- Program Consultation: For children ages 5-12 with a prior diagnosis of ADHD, parents and caregivers attend a 45 minute program consultation to review your goals for treatment and to help determine if Clarity Pediatrics is a good fit for your family.
- ADHD Screening (2 parts): For children ages 5 - 12 who have not yet been evaluated for ADHD by a healthcare professional, parents and caregivers attend two 45 minute sessions. These sessions are used to determine if your child meets diagnostic criteria for ADHD and to review treatment recommendations. Your child is required to attend the first 15 minutes of the second screening appointment.
- Intake (2 parts): For teens ages 13 - 17, we offer a two-part assessment process. Our clinicians will meet with both the teen and parents/caregivers to assess for ADHD and other common comorbidities; discuss medication and lifestyle interventions; and review treatment recommendations. Your teen should attend both appointments.
Begin Behavioral Parent Training (BPT): After your first appointment, Clarity Pediatrics Behavioral Parent Training (BPT) group may be recommended as part of your child or teen’s ADHD treatment plan. Each BPT group meets virtually for eight weeks. You’ll learn specialized parenting techniques specifically meant to support children and teens with ADHD. Children do not attend BPT.
For families of children ages 5 - 12 with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1, we offer RUBI Parent Training, a specialized alternative to BPT that meets for eleven weeks.
You can also schedule an ADHD medication consultation with a Clarity Pediatrics pediatrician at any time during your care.
